MATTERS ARISING
- Correction. Para 2 – incorrect names
- To obtain the chemicals required to eliminate the Buddleia would require a licence. This would be costly. The alternative is to cut them much harder back.
- Consultation about the tall trees - the opinion was that the tallness was due to the poor quality of the soil rather the their closeness.
- Residents have looked at previous investigations into the feu. It was suggested that a look at the individual title deeds would useful.

GARDEN CONCERNS
The state of the gardens was poor with a great deal of rubbish lying about. A member of the local Community Council has approached a number of residents complainingabout the state of the gardensBig rubbish such as the tyre and sink etc should be removed.
Action 2residents offered to do this – CLOSED JULY 2008.
General care of the paths and the removal of long overhanging growths shoulddone by volunteer residents.
WORKDAYS TO BE GIVEN -SEE LATER.
Growth over the road signs should be removed in particular the one about the trams- works.
Action 1 resident offered to do thsi, CLOSED AUGUST 2008.
The possibility of employing someone to remove rubbish was discussed. Maybe the students residing in Gordon Terrace would help? Maybe we could get assistance from the Community Health Project?
Action 1 resident has some contact with the latter through XXXXXXXX. CLOSED SEPTEMBER 2008.
It was considered desirable to leave the main body of the garden as a "jungle" to prevent access and undesirable usage.
It would be helpful if residents took responsibility for the tidiness of the gardens opposite their frontage.
It was agreed that the garner would cut back the vegetation in September as usual making sure that the work was done to our satisfaction.
FINANCE
- The possibility of changing the bank was discussed. It is recognised that banks are not keen to open treasurers accounts.
- Action 1 resident to investigate.
- It was pointed out that costs are likely to rise over the next year. This is applicable to the maintenance and to the insurance. It was also noted that the value of the A and L shares had almost halved leaving contingency money low.
- Action An increase 6% will be levied/or 2008-2009
- The treasurer requested that residents pay promptly. It is time consuming to send reminders and to make additional visits to the bank
GENERAL POINTS
- Building work is continuing at no 7. The installation of Velux windows was discussed.
- Possible links with Dunedin school were discussed. Health and Safety issues may be a problem.
- The hire of a powerful shredder was mentioned. The price may be prohibitive.Action: Chairman to investigate.
- The plans for the conversion of the former St Margaret's School to a hotel were shown. They were generally approved.
- Good's Corner is still under consideration.
- Plans have been approved for the old petrol station on mid Liberton Road.
- White lines outsides some entrances would useful.
- The possibility of residential parking zones was discussed.
